More bad news on Ben Bishop's injury.
Keystone Press.

The Tampa Bay Lightning's optimism regarding the health of Ben Bishop seems to have been very much misplaced, so much so that one has to wonder if the Lightning deliberately undersold the severity of the injury to their starting goaltender.

Despite expressing a belief earlier in the week that Bishop could return during the Eastern Conference Final, and listing him as day to day with his injury, the Lightning have already announced, despite being a full 24 hours away from, Game 4 that Bishop will not be ready to go.

That's not all, according to a report from Lightning repoter Bryan Burns, Bishop did not participate in a full practice on Thursday, indicating that he is still suffering the effects of whatever injury he suffered when he needed to be stretchered off the ice. Bishop also confirmed to Burns that he's still less than 100%.

"Still not there yet, but we're getting there," said Bishop.

With the Penguins leading the series Bishop may be running out of time to make his big comeback from a scary looking injury.
