Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgen Rielly has been playing really good since the beginning of the year, and he could finish the season with the best offensive production of his carer if he keeps registering points at this pace. In 44 games played so far, the 23-year old defenseman has four goals and 26 assists for a total of 30 points. At this pace, he could finish the year with a total of 55 points. His best offensive production before this season was his 36 points season back in 2015-2016.

One thing that Rielly improved a lot over the years is his defensive differential. He is currently at minus one, which is pretty good giving the fact the he spends almost 22 minutes per game on the ice. His best season in that category was during his rookie campaign, when he finished the year with a defensive differential of minus 13.

Drafted fifth overall by the Leafs in 2012, Rielly played 356 games in the NHL so far, scoring 29 goals and adding 120 assists for a total of 149 points. He added five points in six playoff games. He is currently in the second year of a six year contract for a total worth of $30M.

The Maple Leafs are currently third in the Atlantic division with a record of 25-16-3. They will be playing their next game on Wednesday night in Ottawa.
