The Detroit Red Wings’ goalie Petr Mrazek understands that his Original Six team has had its fair share of legends don the red and white jersey before him.

In acknowledging this, he had his hockey helmet cuztomized in order reflect exactly that:

Legends such as the late Gordie Howe and Steve Yzerman can be found on his helmet. In addition, Sportsnet reports that the goaltender has decided to add a badge that represents the very first season that the Red Wings began playing at the Joe Louis Arena in 1979.

The team will undertake 2016-2017 knowing that it’s their final year at the infamous arena, and they will begin playing at the Little Caesar’s Arena the following season.
