There are a number of rumors floating around the National Hockey League right now and, while this is certainly conjecture, all signs to seem to be pointing to a Toronto Maple Leafs forward as the likely target.

While we have been hearing rumors of a potential trade involving James van Riemsdyk for what feels like over a year now, the focus appears to have shifted to center Tyler Bozak. Eklund of Hockey Buzz is reporting that both the New York Rangers and the Columbus Blue Jackets have taken a look at a potential trade for Bozak and he also believes that a defenseman would be headed back the other way.

Adding credibility to that report from Eklund is a recent report from TSN that suggest the Columbus Blue Jackets are in fact actively seeking a forward, this after they failed to acquire Colorado Avalanche star center Matt Duchene. Furthermore that report also touches on the fact that the Blue Jackets would be willing to give up some of their defensive depth to make a deal a reality,

Again linking both of these rumors is purely conjecture, however you don't need any help to see how all of a sudden a trade between the Leafs and Blue Jackets, or potentially even the Leafs and the Rangers, isn't very far fetched at all.

Bozak is coming off a season that saw him record 55 points in 78 games(18 goals, 37 assists) and currently has 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 points in 19 games with the Leafs this season.
