Must See: Bruins defense looks silly as Shipachyov gets his first NHL goal

It took longer than expected, but Vegas Golden Knights forward Vadim Shipachyov is on the board. The 30-year-old former KHL superstar signed with the expansion franchise this past summer and was expected to be a big part of the team’s offense in its first season, but after being sent to the AHL and with speculation that he may return to Russia, many wondered if he’d ever even suit up for the team.

Well, he has and he’s finally an NHL goal scorer. Shipachyov netted his first career goal this evening against the Boston Bruins thanks to some sloppy work by the Bruins D.

Check it out:

By our count that’s four Bruins down on the ice when Shipyachov bangs this puck home. We’re not professional coaches or anything, but that’s probably not a good thing…

Hopefully this is just the beginning of things for Shipachyov. The dynamic Russian sniper has been projected to be a 60+ point scorer at the NHL level, so to see him get the monkey off his back, so to speak, must come as a relief to many fantasy hockey fans.
