The Edmonton Oilers are playing against the Arizona Coyotes tonight, and things didn't start well for the Oilers, as the Coyotes scored twice in 1:15 to take an early 2-0 lead.

Brad Richardson scored his second of the season to open the scoring, and Josh Archibald made it 2-0 for Arizona only 1:15 later when he also scored his second of the year. Oilers head coach pulled goaltender Cam Talbot from the game after he allowed two goals on three shots..

Luckily for the Oilers, Al Montoya stopped all of the seven shots he faced after he entered the game to replace Talbot to keep the Oilers deficit at two.

Darell Nurse scored his fourth of the season to cut the Coyotes lead in half, and Patrick Maroon tied the game at 2-2 by scoring his tenth of the year in the last minute of the period.

The shots are 14-10 in favor of the Oilers.

Edmonton are trying to end a three game losing streak, and they are currently seventh in the Pacific division with a record of 18-23-3.
