Must See: Crazy stat from both DeBrincat’s and Kane’s first NHL goals

When Chicago Blackhawks rookie Alex DeBrincat fired his first NHL goal past the shoulder of Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price last night, he looked an awful lot like a certain other Hawks sniper. Comparisons to Patrick Kane have been made daily since the Hawks drafted DeBrincat 39th overall in 2016.

The two pint-sized snipers play a similar style that relies on incredible hands and a quick release to put up points. But, there’s something else that brings the pair together. Check out this incredible stat courtesy of Hawks blog Blackhawks Up:

That’s awesome! While we’re pretty sure GM Stan Bowman didn’t draw things up this way when he signed Patrick Sharp this offseason, it couldn’t have worked out any better.
