Must See: Crosby gets a 10 min misconduct for abuse of an official!
Sportsnet

How was your Saturday night? Pretty rough one? Probably not half as rough as the one the Pittsburgh Penguins experienced during their 7-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Pens were outmatched, outplayed and outclassed in almost every aspect last night by the Bolts, who picked up their league-leading seventh victory. Things started bad for the Pens almost immediately as superstar captain Sidney Crosby was called for a cross check on Bolts forward Yanni Gourde just 57 seconds into the game. Crosby evidently wasn’t happy with the call, because as soon as he got out of the box he chewed out the referee, earning him an additional 10 minute misconduct for abuse of an official.

We’ve seen Sid the Kid lose his temper before, but what kind of example is this setting for his team, just three minutes into the game?

Check it out:

We’re not professional lip readers, but there are DEFINITELY a few F bombs in that exchange for sure. After the game, Crosby was still hot and couldn’t drop the original cross-checking penalty:

“I thought it was a bad call. It’s early in the game. It happens every game 20 times a game. Guy’s following me back to the bench and saying stuff. I don’t think there’s much need to call that. What can you do?”

What do you think? Is Crosby out of line? This certainly isn’t going to help his reputation as a whiner and a complainer…
