Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby is on fire lately, and he didn't slow down against the Detroit Red Wings Satruday afternoon! The 30-year old forward scored one goal and one assist, helping his team to win 4-1. Crosby now has 2 goals and eight assists in his last three games. 


He scored a beautiful goal against the Red Wings Saturday, lifting Frans Nielsen's stick before the puck came to him, before firing a laser shot past Jimmy Howard


Earlier in the game, Crosby served a perfect pass to Phil Kessel to make it 2-1 Pittsburgh.


Crosby's goal on Saturday afternoon was the 398th of his career. Drafted first overall by the Penguins in 2005, the Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native scored 398 goals and 674 assists for 1072 total points. He added 164 points in 148 playoff games, helping Pittsburgh to win three Stanley Cups. He also won a total of 12 individual trophies. 

He now has 16 goals and 29 assists for 45 points in 45 games played.

Before tonight's game, the Penguins were sixth in the Metropolitan division with a record of 22-19-3. They have now won their last three games.
