Must See: Datsyuk sneaks one through, makes everyone look foolish

Pavel Datsyuk’s 2017-18 season is getting off to a pretty good start. The 39-year-old captain of SKA St. Petersburg has two goals and seven points in his first five games, but none as pretty as this beauty wrap around goal against Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod.

Check it out:

Datsyuk’s quick thinking and even quicker hands make Torpedo’s goaltender look absolutely foolish on this tally. It’s interesting because typically when you think of a great Pavel Datsyuk goal you think of next-level skill and supreme patience, yet in this case he simply makes a quick head fake and then jams the puck home. Just more proof that The Magic Man can work in mysterious ways.

Side note, how much does this hurt you Wings fans? While Datsyuk may not be his old self, the Wings could certainly use some of Datsyuk’s skill in their top six right now.
