Dylan Larkin sparked the offence for the Detroit Red Wings last night.
With a goal and an assist, Larkin collected 2 points in a 3-0 win. He did so after being hit in the face by Buffalo Sabres Marcus Foligno's stick, that left the young rookie's face in blood.
Larkin did not miss a shift and scored his 2 points with cotton packed in his nose to absorb the blood.
The 19 year-old said that it kind of woke him up and that he played with an edge after the incident.
I guess that sends a pretty powerful message to the rest of the NHL: do not wake Dylan Larkin up.
