Must See: Eddie Olcyzk makes an emotional return to the NBC booth

NBC broadcaster and longtime Chicago Blackhawks local color commentator Ed Olcyzk made his return to the broadcast booth yesterday evening to call the the St. Lous Blues vs Chicago Blackhawks game with Doc Emrick and there wasn’t a dry eye in the building. 

In an emotional speech delivered between periods, Olcyzk thanked the fans and recounted all the ways he’s been doubted in his life. Check it out for yourself, but grab the Kleenex first:

Talk about an inspiration. While there’s no timetable yet for Eddie’s full-time return to the booth, you can bet that we’ll be tuning in whenever he’s able to call games this season.
