Ex-Flames Brian McGrattan, nom playing for the San Diego Gulls in the AHL, was knocked-out cold during a fight.
The team announced that McGrattan was conscious, alert and responsive after he was taken off the ice on a stretcher.
San Antonio Rampage's forward Daniel Maggio knocked McGrattan with a solid right to the chin. Teammates were quick to signal the team's therapist that McGrattan was unconscious on the ice.
