Must See: Flames goalies' new pads a blast from the past

Calgary has all new netminders heading into the 2017-18 season, but Eddie Lack will be rocking some nostalgic gear that might have some older Flames fans doing a double-take.

Trevor Kidd was drafted by the Flames 11th overall in 1990, and would go to play for Calgary until the end of the 1996-97 season.

Lack, 29, came to Calgary along with Ryan Murphy and a 2019 seventh-round draft pick from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for prospect Keegan Kanzig and a 2019 sixth-round draft pick.

Lack isn't expected to be the starter in Calgary, that job is supposed to fall to Mike Smith. 

Lack had his ups and downs in Carolina, but has generally been reliable in a backup role. In 20 games last season, the Swedish goalie posted a .902 save percentage and a 2.64 GAA.
