Must see: Patrick earns Flyers fans' respect by dropping the gloves!

Philadelphia Flyers rookie Nolan Patrick knows about the team's traditions. 

On Thursday night, the 19-year-old dropped the gloves with Boston Bruins veteran David Krejci, who hadn't fought since the 2011 preseason. Patrick only had two fights last season with the Brandon Wheat Kings before making the big leagues. 

The first rounder from this year's draft asked the guy who’s been in the league for half of Patrick’s lifetime, if he wanted to go. And they went! The fans went nuts when Patrick tossed his gloves off to engage the fight.
