Must See: Patrick makes history with his first career NHL goal!

Last night’s heartbreaking loss to the Nashville Predators wasn’t a total loss for the Philadelphia Flyers. Nolan Patrick, the 2nd overall pick in this past June’s NHL Entry Draft, managed to get his first career NHL goal, to pull the Flyers to within one goal of the Preds.

Check it out:

While the Flyers would drop this game in incredible fashion, Patrick’s moment stands out in Flyers history. This kid has all the tools to be an NHL superstar, so to see him get his first career goal nice and early should bode well for him and the Flyers this season.

Unfortunately, that was about the only thing to remember for Flyers fans in this game. Despite nursing a two goal lead midway through the third period, the Flyers gave up three consecutive goals in astonishing fashion to drop the game 6-5 in overtime.
