It's only fitting.

Philadelphia Flyers' blueliner Radko Gudas got to meet Radko -- the crime-fighting German shepherd.

Radko is an 18-month-old, 75-pound dog from the Berlin Police Department in New Jersey who shares the same name as the Philadelphia blueliner. They're both both from the Czech Republic, as Patrolman Steven Palma named him Radko not only because of the dog's heritage, but his physicality and style of play.

Palma is a Flyers partial season ticket holder and was one of three Berlin patrolmen who joined Radko at the meet-and-greet at Philadelphia's practice facility in New Jersey yesterday.

Radko Gudas may be one of the most intimidating players in the NHL when he's on the ice, but he certainly one of the nicer guys off the ice.
