Must See: Top 10 centers from EA Sports’ NHL 18.

Two generational talents top the list, but who else will you be winning draws with this season?

The annual release of the video game industry’s biggest hockey game, the NHL series by EA Sports, is something of a holiday for NHLers who grew up loving the series. It’s no secret that the players take note of their rankings and sometimes even take issue with their perceived shortcomings.

With EA Sports releasing it’s top 10 ranked centers from NHL 18, however, we don’t think there’ll be much complaining from the pivots included. Check out the list with each player’s ranking below:

10 Jonathan Toews - Chicago Blackhawks - 89 overall
9 Tyler Seguin - Dallas Stars - 89 overall
8 Ryan Getzlaf - Anaheim Ducks - 89 overall
7 Patrice Bergeron - Boston Bruins - 89 overall
6 Nicklas Backstrom - Washington Capitals - 89 overall
5 John Tavares - New York Islanders - 90 overall
4 Steven Stamkos - Tampa Bay Lightning - 91 overall
3 Evgeni Malkin - Pittsburgh Penguins - 92 overall
2 Sidney Crosby - Pittsburgh Penguins - 93 overall
1 Connor McDavid - Edmonton Oilers - 93 overall

Tough to argue with any of these choices, but there are some glaring omissions. Where’s Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews? He was ranked as the 4th best center by the NHL Network, yet doesn’t crack NHL 18’s top 10? What about Winnipeg Jets star Mark Scheifele? Buffalo Sabres sniper Jack Eichel?

What do you think? Are these ratings pretty accurate? If not, what do you take issue with?
