Must See: Top 10 defensemen rankings from EA Sports’ NHL 18

The annual release of the video game industry’s biggest hockey game, the NHL series by EA Sports, is something of a holiday for NHLers who grew up loving the series. It’s no secret that the players take note of their rankings and sometimes even take issue with their perceived shortcomings. 

With EA Sports releasing it’s top 10 ranked defensemen from NHL 18, however, we don’t think there’ll be much complaining from the defenders included. Check out the list with each player’s ranking below:

10. Alex Pietrangelo – St. Louis Blues - 88 overall
9. Roman Josi – Nashville Predators - 88 overall
8. Kris Letang – Pittsburgh Penguins - 88 overall
7. Shea Weber – Montreal Canadiens - 89 overall
6. Ryan Suter – Minnesota Wild - 89 overall
5. Duncan Keith – Chicago Blackhawks - 90 overall
4. Victor Hedman – Tampa Bay Lightning - 90 overall
3. Brent Burns – San Jose Sharks - 90 overall
2. Drew Doughty – Los Angeles Kings - 91 overall
1. Erik Karlsson – Ottawa Senators - 91 overall

Interesting. While it’s hard to argue against any of the above players, the order of some might seem a little curious to some. Doughty ahead of Burns? No PK Subban? No Dustin Byfuglien?
