Must See: Top 10 left wingers from EA Sports’ NHL 18.

Does Ovi still top the list? Or has a new left side sniper emerged?

The annual release of the video game industry’s biggest hockey game, the NHL series by EA Sports, is something of a holiday for NHLers who grew up loving the series. It’s no secret that the players take note of their rankings and sometimes even take issue with their perceived shortcomings.

With EA Sports releasing it’s top 10 ranked left wingers from NHL 18, however, we don’t think there’ll be much complaining from the wingers included. Check out the list with each player’s ranking below:

10 Gabriel Landeskog - Colorado Avalanche - 85 overall
9 Eric Staal - Minnesota Wild - 85 overall
8 Filip Forsberg - Nashville Predators - 86 overall
7 Artemi Panarin - Columbus Blue Jackets - 86 overall
6 Max Pacioretty - Montreal Canadiens  - 87 overall
5 Johnny Gaudreau - Calgary Flames - 87 overall
4 Brad Marchand - Boston Bruins - 87 overall
3 Taylor Hall - New Jersey Devils - 87 overall
2 Jamie Benn - Dallas Stars - 90 overall
1 Alex Ovechkin - Washington Capitals - 92 overall

Tough to argue with any of these choices, but there are some glaring omissions. Where’s Tampa Bay Lightning winger Ondrej Palat? Or how about Vancouver Canucks veteran Daniel Sedin? No sign of Detroit Red Wings sniper Tomas Tatar either. Landeskog finished last season with only 18 goals and 33 points, yet he earns a higher rating than the above mentioned players? And what’s with Hall ranking higher than Marchand?

What do you think? Are these ratings pretty accurate? If not, what do you take issue with?
