NBC has announced that they will be replacing Ed Olczyk, who is currently fighting an ongoing battle with cancer,  on the broadcast for their games, but they have selected an extremely unpopular choice.

According to a report from USA Today Sports, Olczyk will be replaced by infamous former National Hockey League player and general manager Mike Milbury, a man who is no stranger to saying controversial things.

While Millbury may not be everyone's cup of tea, in fact some fans have already expressed displeasure at this announcement, he did release a very classy statement about taking over for Olczyk, something that will likely earn him some sympathy.

“When you have a problem, someone has to fill in,” Milbury told USA TODAY Sports. “I’m a little nervous about it. It’s not something I’ve done a lot of. But the good news is when you are sitting next to someone as polished and celebrated as Doc Emrick you can just ride shotgun and not worry much. I hope.”

We wish Milbury the best of luck, although we would be lying if we said we aren't already looking forward to having Olczyk back in the booth.
