Is Kristopher Letang going to get traded?

When three reporters indicate that their sources have told them that the Pittsburgh Penguin's star defenseman is being discussed on the trade market, one tends to listen. Especially when one of those reporters is Elliotte Friedman.

But according to Penguins insider Josh Yohe, who reportedly talked to multiple people in the organization, the 30-year-old blueliner will NOT get traded anytime soon:

We know Pens' general manager, Jim Rutherford, isn't afraid to make franchise-altering trades, which is probably why the Letang rumors gained so much traction.

Even though many analysts have mentioned Letang is underperforming this year, he still recorded two goals and 23 assists for 25 points in just 37 games. He currently is in the fourth season of an eight-year, $58 million contract. He earns $7,250 million per year.
