Newly retired NHLer asks fans for help to get full closure
Twitter

Last week, goaltender Mike McKenna took to Twitter to announce that he was hanging up the skates after a 13-year professional hockey career.

It did not take long for the former netminder to find work around the National Hockey League; a few days following his retirement announcement, McKenna announced that he was joining the Vegas Golden Knights’ broadcast team, along with former Sportsnet host Darren Millard, as well as Vegas native Stormy Buonantony as rink side reporter.

However, McKenna still feels the need for closure it seems. On Tuesday, the former NHLer asked fans for help on social media. The 36-year-old is reportedly looking to get his hands on his Vancouver Canucks white jersey. While he never started a game with the Canucks, he was traded from the Ottawa Senators with Tom Pyatt and sixth round pick in the 2019 draft (Arturs Silovs) to the Canucks for goalie Anders Nilsson and Darren Archibald.

If you can help me, you should get in touch with him on Twitter.

McKenna split last season between the Senators and Philadelphia Flyers’ organization, but spent the majority of his time on the bench as a backup. In total, McKenna played for seven NHL teams: Flyers, Senators, Dallas Stars, Arizona Coyotes, Columbus Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils and Tampa Bay Lightning.

But he wants that Canucks jersey!
