NHL agent calls out Sens for demoting prospect Brown!

The agent didn’t mince his words… smells like a trade could be in the books next?

Fans in Ottawa were disappointed when Senators prospect Logan Brown was demoted to the American Hockey League at the end of training camp and didn’t crack the NHL roster. There were high expectations for the 21-year-old…

However, Brown did play a portion of training camp as a fourth-line left winger, but that was never truly an option the club contemplated to start the 2019-20 season. GM Pierre Dorion praised patience when it comes to Brown, but his agent Andy Scott had a bitter explanation for it and went public:

“We have never seen an early first round selection met with such resistance by the club which drafted them.”

Dorion does not seem to have something against the kid…

“When it comes to Logan Brown, we don’t have a more talented centreman in our organization,” Dorion said adamantly at the end of the preseason to TSN

Maybe Scott needs to be more patient - or keep his mouth shut. We don’t know if his comments could injure Brown’s progress and if the Senators will look to get rid of the issue.

Dorion refused to put a timeline on when Senators fans should expect to see Brown in the NHL, but the kid could learn a lot from playing in Belleville.

“For a 21-year-old bigger body going back to the American League, whether it’s for a month, three months or maybe it’s the whole year, we know we have a special talent in Logan Brown,” said Dorion.

Maybe Brown’s agent should be careful and trust the process… What do you think?
