NHL captain donates new equipment for youth team who had theirs stolen

A classy move, by a classy man.

Just yesterday police reported that the Arizona Bobcats Youth Hockey Program had all of their equipment stolen from their home arena in Chandler, Arizona.

Awful… what kind of monster would do that?

“Players and teams are devastated by the situation and [are] now scrambling to prepare for the season,” a team rep said.

Chandler police say the suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male who was wearing blue jean shorts, a black tank top and a black hat. He was driving a Silver Toyota Sequoia SUV with an unknown temporary tag in the rear window.

The Arizona Coyotes then took to Twitter to ask for help from the community, but it wasn’t the community per se who stepped up to help out the Bobcats, it was Coyotes captain Oliver Ekman-Larsson along with teammate Lawson Crouse and team CEO Ahron Cohen.

Incredible. A classy move from a classy individual. Well done, gentlemen.
