There is a lot of chatter when it comes to the National Hockey League and its selection process on where the two hub cities will be located for a potential season resumption later this summer. On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Dallas Stars were informed that they will not be host to the league’s return to play plan.

Six cities, Toronto, Edmonton, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Chicago, are still in the mix, however some information was leaked on Wednesday that the NHL was booking hotels in one of the hub cities.

Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston revealed on Instant Analysis that the NHL has started proceedings of booking hotels in Vancouver.

We have no clue if the report is true, rumours have been circling quite a lot around which cities will host the NHL’s return, with most insiders believing that Las Vegas will be chosen as the Western Conference’s hub.

While some may think Vancouver is a top candidate, it was also reported on Wednesday that this city’s bid didn’t go as well with the league.

“Positive test protocol snag was encountered Tuesday afternoon. Disagreement is in the details, but this is complex stuff and could be insurmountable.”

Who’s telling the truth? We have no clue, so let’s just reveal the two cities already!
