While a number of players have spoken out about the National Hockey League's decision not to participate in the Olympics in South Korea, not many have been as vocal as Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Anton Stralman.

The veteran spoke to ESPN insider Pierre LeBrun on Thursday and made it clear that it was his intent to attend the Olympics in spite of the NHL's decision.

"Believe me I will look at every option available to me to see what it takes for me to get to South Korea next year," said Stralman as per Lebrun.

Stralman who has never had the opportunity to represent his home country at the Olympic Games had some sobering comments regarding how players like him felt about the league's decision.

"The league is crushing player's dreams with this announcement."
