There is speculation that a National Hockey League enforcer may have reached the end of his career.

According to a report from Sportsnet insider Mark Spector, the Los Angeles Kings have released veteran Brandon Prust from their roster and this has led to fans and pundits, including Spector himself, wondering "is this it?"

The 33-year-old forward has been out of the NHL since the 2015-2016 season when he was a member of the Vancouver Canucks, and although it's still possible that another NHL team will offer him a PTO, there isn't all that much time for an evaluation prior to the season.

No word yet on any teams reaching out to Prust for a potential offer.
