A National Hockey League enforcer has hit a low-point in his professional career.

Anaheim Ducks insider Eric Stephens of the Orange Country Register is now reporting that veteran NHL enforcer Jared Boll was not seen skating with his teammates at practice today, not  good sign for Boll at all.

Earlier today it was revealed that Boll had cleared the waiver process and his absence from the team skate would appear to indicate that he will be sent down to the American Hockey League.

In his over 550 game NHL career Boll has remained at the NHL level but now less than two seasons into his time as a member of the Anaheim Ducks he is facing what has to be considered a new low in his career as a pro.

Boll, a winger, has never produced a significant offensive output with just 66 points over his 577 career NHL games and enforcers are becoming increasingly rare around the league. There is for the first time some real doubt about Boll's future in the NHL, and at 31-years-old with a contract that expires at the end of the season, one has to wonder if we will see him in the NHL again.
