NHL first round pick scores a hat trick in his KHL debut!

It was his first career game in the Kontinental Hockey League and he shocked the hockey world with his first career hat trick.

Eeli Tolvanen was a first round pick in the 2017 National Hockey League Entry Draft, only selected at #30 by the Nashville Predators, and you can bet there a number of teams who passed on him watching his highlights from today second guessing that decision. 

Tolvanen's debut was reminiscent of the peformance Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Auston Matthews but on during his National Hockey League debut, although admittedly he scored fewer goals than Matthews and did so in what is largely viewed as a lesser league.
