What a great story.

Everyone loves a sad story that has a happy ending, and this story has two of them!

According to a report from the Columbus Blue Jackets, captain Nick Foligno and his wife Janelle have made a massive donation in the sum of $1 million to be split between Nationwide Children's Hospital as well as Boston Childrens Hospital.

The two organizations were selected for a very special reason, their combined efforts helped save the life of Foligno's little girl when she was just three years old. Little Milana was born with a congenital heart condition and at just three weeks old she required experimental heart surgery to save her life, and we are happy to report the surgery was successful and she now lives a very healthy and happy life.

You obviously can't put a price on the life of your child, but nonetheless it's an incredibly generous gift from the Folignos and one that was obviously made as a gesture of thanks for the priceless gift those two institutions provided their family.

A great story for all involved and one we're very happy to share with all of our readers.
