NHL GM may be on the hot seat after a number of disappointments.

Despite the fact that the Minnesota Wild have been strong contenders in the regular season as of late, they have been unable to translate that success into a deep playoff run, and that may soon lead to some major changes within the organization. 

In a recent article for NBC Sports James O'Brien touched on the status of general manager Chuck Fletcher within his organization, pointing out that it was not very long ago that owner Craig Leopold expressed disappointment at one of Fletcher's bigger moves. 

“In hindsight, geez, I wish we wouldn’t have done that,” said Leipold, as per the Minneapolis Tribune. “I supported that decision at the time, and I’m willing to live with it.”

O'Brien believes that there is now a lot of pressure on Fletcher to exceed his previous results in the 2017-2018 season, and that pressure may not extend much further.
