It's a very worrying end of the year for the Minnesota Wild, but tonight brought a little joy amidst the anxiety. The team had an awesome beginning of the year, winning pretty much everything. However, about a month and a half ago, the wind changed direction and these days, the Ws are rare.
The Wild had a decent chance to win an easy game tonight against the Avalanche. The Colorado crew is nothing but a train wreck this year, so teams who face them can take the matchup as a confidence booster.
Anyhow, following a very convincing 5-2 win, this happened.
38 wins in the same season is pretty hard to reach for a goalie. This record will surely contribute to boost Dubnyk's confidence approaching the Playoff, where it will be so badly needed.
