NHL goalie collapses after taking a slap shot to the neck.

We had a brief scare on Tuesday night when New York Rangers goaltender Ondrej Pavelec appeared seriously hurt for moment.

Pavelec collapsed to the ice after he took a hard slap shot to the threat from Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere, a defenseman known for having a pretty solid shot from the point. 

Players from both teams quickly gathered around Pavelec as trainers rushed out to the ice to tend to him, but thankfully after a short recovery Pavelec appeared to be alright, at least relatively speaking. 

Amazingly he managed to remain in the game and in fact finished the period before heading to the Rangers locker room.
