It's starting to look a lot like a redemption story for goaltender Mike Condon.

After being thrown to the wolves in his rookie season, playing an incredible 55 games for the Montreal Canadiens, the Habs rewarded him by placing him on waivers in October.

Condon would go on to be claimed by the Pittsburgh Penguins who were dealing with an injury to Matt Murray, but as soon as Murray got healthy is was back to the waiver wire for him.

That's when the Ottawa Senators stepped in, claiming Condon when they realized that goaltender Craig Anderson would be missing significant time as he dealt with his wife's cancer. It has turned out to be an incredibly important move for the Senators who have had Condon appear in 19 games for them already this season, and there's no longer any doubt that he has usurped Andrew Hammond on the depth chart.

Condon is making his 8th consecutive start for the Sens this evening and unlike in his rookie season, this time he has shown he is ready to answer the call.
