NHL insider makes bold prediction for Wild in 2017-2018

Official puck drop of the 2017-2018 NHL season is only a couple of hours away, and that means that it’s prediction time again! Frank Seravalli came up with his yesterday, and let’s say there’s a lot of interesting ones!

In his latest article for TSN, Seravalli predicts that the Minnesota Wild will have another 100-point season. To back up his prediction, Seravalli refers to the winning record of Bruce Boudreau, Minnesota head coach since last season. It’s true, Boudreau had good seasons when he was coaching the Washington Capitals and the Anaheim Ducks, but the story is different in the playoffs. Boudreau reached a Conference Final only once in his NHL coaching career.

Minnesota has a good team, there’s no boubt about that. But what would you prefer, Wild fans? Another 100-point season, or a long playoff run? Both? Yeah, that makes sense.
