NHL Insider published SHOCKING report regarding the top-5 teams on players NO-TRADE lists.

Craig Custance is one respected insider around the NHL. Every year, he makes a list of the top-5 teams on the no-trade list of NHL players.

How is it decided? Custance polled NHL player agents around the league and asked them what they hear from their clients when it’s time to move them. Precisely, they asked nine agents to list the top three teams most often listed on no-trade clauses. Teams listed first get three points, second two points and third one points to get the point total.

For many years, Toronto was on top of the list but guess what because “Toronto is a difficult place to play. … Way too many people trying to cover the same thing and trying to find a different edge,” said one agent two years ago. Now that Babcock took on the head coach job and they got pretty good talented players, Toronto is not on the list anymore. Find out which teams are on that list below.

5) Florida Panthers

“Florida has confused everyone with some of the on- and off-ice moves,” wrote one agent in an e-mail.”

4) Arizona Coyotes

“A lot of it comes down to lifestyle,” said an agent

3) New York Islanders

“The idea that John Tavares could potentially leave makes them very undesirable until they get their [stuff] together,” said an agent. “Part of the problem is the setup. The players hate the setup there.”

2) Edmonton Oilers

“They’re redoing the entire downtown area. It’s pretty cool there now. You’re still living in Edmonton, it’s hard to get in and out, but now you have the rink, a good team, a chance to win. There’s nothing worse than being in a city that’s freezing cold and you can’t win any games.”

1) Winnipeg Jets

“I don’t think Laine is going to be a magnet for people to be like, ’Wow, I really want to play with him,’” said one agent.
