NHL Insider reveals where Duchene will start the season

The soap opera telling the Matt Duchene and the Colorado Avalanche is reportedly far from over. The forward, who has been on the trading block all year long, is expected to start the season... in Denver.

According to BSN Denver' hockey insider Adrian Dater, Duchene will not be traded before the season opener.

Duchene sported the Avalanche's uniform in preseason game against the Dallas Stars, in which he recorded a goal on Friday. Fans should apparently get used to him in that jersey even though the Ottawa Senators, Nashville Predators, Columbus Blue Jackets and Montreal Canadiens are reportedly amongst the eight NHL teams in the mix for Duchene.
