NHL legend questions Cup contenter's playoff chances!

The Montreal Canadiens have been under the magnifying glass for the past year, which many changes coming their way in a short time.

No one can forget last year's blockbusting trade that send defenseman P.K. Subban to the Nashville Predators in return for Shea Weber. Then, there were former head coach Michel Therrien's stuggle and eventual firing, the arrival of Claude Julien behind the bench, forward Alex Galchenuyk's production issues, the loss of Russian sniper Alexander Radulov to the Dallas Stars, just to count a few.

The Habs did acquire forward Jonathan Drouin, which will help the team's offense, but NHL legend Mike Bossy still has doubts about the Canadiens' chances to clinch a playoff spot and head to the Stanley Cup finals.

"What we want is a Stanley Cup, right?" he asked on the air on French radio, 91,9 Sports, translated from French. "If you look at the team now, can you even believe in their chances?"

Tough words from Bossy, who has been quite vocal about the Canadiens' path in the last year. Let's hope for the Habs and GM Marc Bergevin things get better, so Bossy's comments can be more positive as well...
