NHL Legend will appear in court on Wednesday for drunk driving.

It's been a rough few weeks for former Boston Bruins great Ray Bourque and it may be about to get a little rougher.

Bourque plead not guilty in court last week despite the fact that the details of the police report revealed his blood alcohol level was more than triple the legal limit, and despite the fact that had been involved in a minor accident, hitting another motor vehicle but causing no injuries.

According to a report from NBC Sports Bourque's next court appearance is scheduled for today, Wednesday the 6th of July, and we will likely know more about that process by the end of the day.

A spokeswoman for Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett confirmed that the office has been advised that Bourque will be in Lawrence District Court on Wednesday to try to resolve the case.

More to come.
