NHL makes controversial call on Tuch’s slew foot on Seguin!

Dallas Stars fans are upset, Vegas Golden Knights fans are relieved. It is very hard to make everyone happy these days…

During last night’s Game 3 in which the Stars managed to take a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference finals by winning 3-2 in overtime, some fans and pundits expected the Golden Knights to lose much more than just the contest.

In the intense rivalry building up between the two clubs, Vegas top forward Alex Tuch was caught on tape giving a major slew foot at Stars’ Tyler Seguin. The move was quick yet dangerous, but none of the officials made the call on the play.

Fans thought the National Hockey League itself would handled the matter, but Stars insider Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas News revealed on Friday that no supplemental discipline would come from the Department of Safety for the slew foot by Tuch.

The call probably should have been made on the ice by the officials and we wouldn't be arguing about it today. It’s not a legal play sure, but it just didn’t rise to the level of supplemental discipline. Therefore the league made the call. However, fans still complain about the fact that Tuch, an offensive machine will take part in Saturday’s Game 4. Vegas is thrilled to have it in the lineup. As we said, it’s very hard to make everyone happy these days…

At least Stars fans, you won Game 3!
