NHL makes a decision on the nasty looking Vanek/Kruger hit from last night. (VIDEO)

According to a report from Pro Hockey Talk's Mike Halford the NHL has not schedule a hearing for Thomas Vanek of the Minnesota Wild following a dangerous looking hit on the Chicago Blackhawk's Marcus Kruger. There has already been all kinds of controversy surrounding the hit, some suggesting Vanek was to blame, while others put the onus on Kruger turning his back to Vanek. Minessota Wild fans will likely see similarities between this hit and the one from the Islanders Matt Martin that sidelined Keith Ballard earlier this season. You can watch the video of the hit here, and almost immediately you can hear conflicting comments from the broadcast when they get two different angles on the hit. Did the NHL make the right call?
