NHL Mascot dresses up as scary clown from IT

The Washington Capitals figured out a way to leverage the popularity of the one of the most talked about horror movies in the last 10 years.

Their mascot who is an Eagle named Slapshot dressed up as Pennywise the Clown from the Stephen King remake IT. This is a film which has been devouring the box office these past few weeks and the Capitals marketing team saw this as a good opportunity to incorporate topical pop culture into their game day entertainment.
