Whoever is in charge of this account is facing a potential harsh fine

Gnash, the popular Nashville Predators posted a comment on Twitter that he might regret. Following his team's elimination in game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Gnash tweeted:

I have an idea! I’ll go into the cave of wonders and find the lamp. I’ll wish to go back to game 6 with competent officials.

Now, whoever is in charge of his account is facing a serious fine because if coaches have been fined for comments like that, it’s possible the NHL decide to fine the Nashville Predators organization for such comments.

The NHL has a precedent of team members who publicly called out officiating and received a fine. This all comes down to damage control for the league’s image. If the public believes that the game is rigged, then no one will watch it anymore and revenues will fall.

When players and coaches are allowed to criticize the refs, it opens up a credibility question about the integrity of the game as a whole.
