NHL President wants to fire his head coach according to “team sources.”

One reporter has just made a very bold claim.

According to a report from Boston Bruins insider Jimmy Murphy of WEEI Sports, team president Cam Neely has wanted to fire head coach Claude Julien for some time now but has been denied the right to do so, presumably by ownership.

Murphy states that Neely has repeatedly criticized Julien as a coach and according to what Murphy describes as "team sources" Neely would have fired Julien already had the decision been left in his hands.

Murphy, seemingly disagreeing with Neely's stance on Julien challenged the team president to take over behind the bench of the roster he put together and do a better job than Julien, assuming of course that he fires him first.

If Julien is indeed being protected by someone above Neely though he may not be going anywhere for the time being.
