NHL team owner hints at new captain for 2019-20 season

Vancouver Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini recently sent out his annual letter to season’s ticket holders and many Canucks fans believe that the divisive owner has tipped his hand with regards to the team’s next captain.

The Canucks, of course, have been without a captain since Henrik Sedin retired at the end of the 2017-18 season. So… who’s next in line?

Well first, Aquilini’s statement:

Notice the last sentence of the second paragraph that states:

“Bo Horvat’s emergence as a quiet leader.”

Is this Aquilini tipping his hand? Fans certainly seem to think so.
