The NHL is currently promoting Hockey Fights Cancer month, an annual occurence that helps raise awareness and money for those battling one of life's cruelest afflictions.

Saturday night, the Arizona Coyotes demonstrated a wonderful act for a young Bruce Frye, a child of only 7 years who is fighting a battle with leukemia.

Bruce was signed as a special assistant coach to the Coyotes, and had the opportunity to meet and play with the team behind the scenes.

"I drew up plans, threw pucks out on the ice. I had half of the team against the other half zig zagging through pucks," Bruce told NHL.com following the team's practice.

As it turns out, Bruce found himself enjoying most the presence of Zac Rinaldo.

Here's Bruce's story.
