NHLer taken to hospital tonight after high-impact hit knocks him out cold.

Warning to our readers the video below may be hard to watch for some.

On Tuesday night during a match up between the Boston Bruins and Arizona Coyotes, Bruins defenseman Colin Miller absolutely laid out Coyotes forward Alexander Burmistrov with a high impact hit near the blue line, and unfortunately that hit has left Burmistrov in a bad way.

Burmistrov was stretchered off the ice after the devastating hit and it sounds like he may be have suffered s significant injury. According to an official report from the Coyotes, Burmistrov is currently being taken to a Boston hospital but the team did not comment on the severity or nature of his injury.

In defense of Miller this didn't look like he was targeting Burmistrov's head but there's no denying the result it had in the end despite that. While it looked like a good hit to many, the officials chose to eject him from the game regardless.
