There certainly was an element of luck when ti came to making this save, but nonetheless it was an absolutely unreal effort from Montreal Canadiens back up goaltender Mike Condon that kept the puck out of the net.

With his Habs up by three goals late in the second period it fell on Condon to stop an offensive onslaught from the Washington Capitals who had no intention of cruising to a loss. This save however stood out among the rest, as Condon had to reached behind his back, without vision of the puck, extended his stick, and somehow make the save.

It was a terrific save, and perhaps best of all for Montreal it may have been a confidence building for their back up goalie.
