A very interesting option at forward likely to be available.

First and foremost, if you're a Bruins fan you have to understand that the silver lining here is that your team is correctly hesitating on giving a 30 year old forward a long-term big money deal.

While there's no doubt that forward Loui Eriksson has had a terrific season the Bruins are obviously concerned about what he could look like several years from now, and the latest update after today's negotiations would seem to indicate that he will not be re-signed, and instead will be dealt at the deadline.

TSN hockey insider Darren Dreger has confirmed that the negotiations did in fact continue today with Eriksson's agent J.P. Barry, however according to Dreger there was "no progress" made, and his previous reports on the situation indicated that there was still a large gap in both term and money.

With only two days remaining prior to the deadline the Bruins will certainly have to do their due diligence in evaluating the market for Eriksson, and it seems more likely than not that he will in fact be dealt by the Bruins.

Eriksson is having his best season since joining the Bruins, recording 48 points in 62 games this season.
